Chapter 1540: Abyssal King Dragon
Villain Ch 1540. Abyssal King Dragon

Allen clenched his fists, the demonic aura around him flickering slightly with his growing annoyance. “I didn’t come here to be judged by shadows.”

He stepped fully into the center of the room now, boots clicking on the polished floor, cloak fluttering around his legs like a specter.

“I came here for the throne.”

A heavy pause followed. Long enough that the heartbeat-pulse of the throne itself seemed to slow.

Then the sharp voice answered, quieter but no less forceful.

“The throne you seek is not empty. It is not abandoned. It waits for the worthy.”

“Those who would claim it must prove they are more than ambition, more than power.”

The casual voice drawled, amused.

“They must prove they’re crazy enough to want it. And stupid enough to fight for it.”

The deep, thunderous one finished with chilling finality.

“And if they are neither… they will perish.”

The girls fanned out slowly behind Allen, tense but ready.

Vivian tilted her head, whip coiling tighter around her wrist. “They’re toying with us.”

Jane licked her dry lips. “Yeah. And they’re still invisible. Which means it’s not over yet.”

Zoe’s eyes flickered with cold fire. “It never was.”

The three presences moved again. No forms appeared, but the pressure increased, growing heavier by the second, as if the entire chamber was preparing itself for the next act.

And Allen?

He smiled.

A slow, dangerous, wolfish grin.

“Good,” he said, lifting his sword so the abyssal light gleamed along its cracked surface.

“I was getting bored.”

The abyss trembled.

The entire throne chamber shivered with a deep, low-frequency hum, like the world itself was holding its breath. Dust sifted from the unseen ceiling high above, the air growing thicker, heavier, pressing down on their shoulders like invisible chains.

A rumble rolled across the chamber floor.

Deep. Steady. Growing.

Then—SWISH—a sudden gust of wind howled through the throne hall. Cloaks snapped sharply. Hair and tails whipped into the air. The heat of their bodies instantly chilled under the biting rush of ancient, abyssal wind.

From the massive open doorway beyond the throne, a shape began to emerge.

Massive.

Crawling from the darkness.

Each step shook the ground.

And then they saw him.

The beast was colossal, dwarfing even the gigantic throne like it was a simple seat carved for his amusement.

Three heads.

Three necks arched upward, each one coiling like towers of living muscle. Their scales were blacker than the void itself, laced with deep crimson cracks where abyssal energy seeped like molten lava. Each head bore a crown of jagged, ancient horns. Their eyes burned with different colors—one deep gold, one burning red, and one a bright yellow.

His wings stretched outward as he approached, a vast span of shredded black membrane that could’ve blotted out the sky had there been one. His talons gouged the stone with each step, leaving molten trails behind.

[KING OF THE ABYSS – AZDRAETH, THE FORGOTTEN SOVEREIGN]

[Level: 300]

[Boss Class: Abyssal King Dragon]

The three heads moved almost independently, surveying the party as if judging their worth—or lack thereof.

Then, with a creaking groan that echoed like a collapsing mountain, the massive dragon lowered itself onto the throne. It fit perfectly, the chair clearly built for his immensity, the armrests shaped for talons, the back carved to cradle three necks at once.

For a moment, the room was nothing but awe and oppressive silence.

Allen stood in front of the girls, sword loose in his hand, eyes narrowed. The aura pouring off Azdraeth was unlike anything he’d ever faced. Heavy. Timeless. Terrifying.

And yet…

Something felt… off.

The left head—the one with deep gold eyes—leaned forward slightly, its gaze sharp, imperious.

“You who defy the tides of fate.”

“You who seek to sit where only one has ever ruled.”

The middle head—the red-eyed one—spoke next, voice like molten stone.

“Your ambition is noted. Your strength… acknowledged.”

“But acknowledgment does not equal approval.”

Allen braced himself, tightening his stance.

Then the right head—the one with the bright yellow eyes—perked up, almost eagerly.

“So like, do we give them cookies first or just smash ’em straight up?”

Allen blinked.

The golden-eyed head slowly turned and gave the right head a look so filled with disdain that even without words, the message was clear ‘Shut. Up’.

The middle head exhaled heavily, muttering under its breath,

“Idiot. Focus.”

Allen’s eye twitched.

There it was.

He realized it suddenly—glaring and absurd.

This king of the abyss—this massive, cataclysmic being—had three distinct personalities perfectly matching that ridiculous three-headed dragon meme he’d seen before.

‘The hell…’

For a second, Allen just stared.

Zoe muttered, deadpan, “Wait. Is that… is that from the three-headed dragon meme?” She cringed.

Bella blinked rapidly. “You mean the meme?”

Vivian choked on a laugh, barely covering it with a cough.

“They seriously made them into a real dragon,” Zoe added, sounding halfway between impressed and deeply exhausted.

Shea tilted her head, clearly confused. “Dragon meme? What dragon meme?” She frowned.

Larissa, despite the chaos, actually smiled a little and explained. “You know. Three dragon heads. Two look badass, terrifying, regal… and the third one looks like it licked a frozen pole in winter and never recovered.”

Jane’s eyes practically sparkled. She slapped a hand over her mouth and whispered excitedly, “This is a dream come true. Thank you, developer teams, designers, writers, or whoever the hell thought this was a good idea. Thank you from the bottom of my soul.”

Shea blinked again. Then glanced at the dragon’s three heads—the first two majestic and stern, the third one wiggling its tongue out with gleeful idiocy—and visibly processed it.

“Oh… ohhh.”

Allen tried very hard not to laugh.

He failed.

A small, incredulous huff escaped before he could suppress it.

Vivian leaned closer and muttered, “Are we seriously about to fight… that?”

Alice whispered, “I’m both terrified and weirdly comforted.”

Bella giggled into her sleeve. “Tail bells are definitely back on the menu.”
