Chapter 1544: Took You Long Enough
Villain Ch 1544. Took You Long Enough
[Demonic Form Duration Remaining: 0:15]
No more time.
No more holding back.
He locked his eyes on the heart of the monster—the base of the golden head’s neck, right where the armored scales were thinnest from the energy overload earlier.
One shot.
That was all he had left.
The golden head roared and lunged, mouth wide enough to swallow him whole.
Allen dove, spinning through the air with everything he had left.
Azdraeth’s jaws snapped shut an inch behind him, missing his legs by a whisper.
Allen roared back, pouring all his remaining strength into his blade.
He slammed the sword into the golden neck, twisting and driving it deeper with a scream of raw fury.
The sword bit.
Deeper.
Deeper.
A pulse of abyssal fire exploded from the wound.
Azdraeth’s body shuddered violently.
All three heads—well, two—threw themselves back in agony.
Allen held on, the backlash of raw abyssal energy ripping at his armor, his flesh.
The world went white.
[Demonic Form Deactivated]
He barely noticed.
Because the moment the light cleared….
The King of the Abyss was falling.
Azdraeth’s enormous form slammed into the throne platform with a thunderous crash that shook the heavens.
His wings faltered. His heads drooped. Abyssal blood pooled around him, hissing and steaming on contact with the ground.
And then— Silence.
A single system chime pierced the aftermath.

Allen hovered there mid-air, sword still buried halfway in Azdraeth’s ruined neck, breathing hard, wings trembling from overuse.
Slowly, painfully, he pulled the blade free, black ichor steaming from its edge.
Below him, the girls cheered—or at least made victorious, exhausted noises.
Vivian collapsed onto a rock and threw a lazy fist in the air. “We’re alive! Somehow!”
Jane flopped backward onto the cracked floor. “Allen gets a throne. I get a nap. Fair trade.”
Zoe just sighed heavily, shoulders sagging with relief.
Even Bella, who had bounced back quicker than the others, looked up at the giant corpse and muttered, “Yup. Tail bells and parade. All confirmed.”
Allen landed heavily on the ground, staggering slightly as his wings finally gave out.
He looked up at the massive throne again—now empty, now his.
He chuckled under his breath, low and tired.
“…Took you long enough,” he muttered to himself.
Allen shifted his sword onto his back and glanced at the massive corpse lying before the throne.
Vivian limped over, dragging her whip behind her like a dead snake. “You look like hell.”
Allen gave her a sideways smirk. “You should see the others.”
Shea fluttered down next to them, wings twitching, looking like she was ready to pass out but still managing a crooked smile. “You realize he literally just fought a three-headed dragon boss with split personalities and survived?”
“Barely,” Zoe added.
Jane, predictably, was already poking at the dragon’s giant foreleg. She tilted her head, inspecting the fallen titan like she was appraising a used car.
“I wonder…” she said, tapping her chin thoughtfully. “If you revive it… you think they’ll keep their personalities? I mean, I kinda liked the derpy one.”
Vivian snorted and shot Jane a wicked grin. “Yeah. Reminds me of you.”
Jane gasped dramatically, clutching her chest like she’d been mortally wounded. “Rude!”
Bella deadpaned, “Not inaccurate, though.”
Allen, still catching his breath, wiped some dried blood from his cheek. He narrowed his eyes at the massive corpse. “Well… there’s only one way to find out.”
The girls turned toward him as he stepped forward, bootfalls echoing in the shattered throne chamber.
He extended a hand toward Azdraeth’s body, fingers splayed, and called forth the abyssal power that coiled deep within him.
“Pact.”
Dark energy swirled outward from Allen’s palm, tendrils of abyssal smoke snaking across the blood-slicked floor and wrapping around the dragon’s fallen form. The air vibrated with the weight of the pact—a primal force demanding fealty from death itself.
The girls tensed instinctively, bracing for whatever came next.
The swirling smoke thickened, the glyphs on the floor beneath the corpse pulsing violently.
Then— A thunderous boom cracked through the room.
A system notification flashed across Allen’s vision:
[Pact Successful!]
[Servant Acquired: Azdraeth, King of the Abyss – Abyssal Sovereign Variant]
The dragon stirred.
Slowly.
Massive muscles flexed under the cracked, black scales. The ground trembled as Azdraeth’s colossal frame rose from the blood-stained floor. His three necks lifted, heads shaking slightly as if waking from a long, heavy sleep.
The red and gold heads turned, scanning the ruined chamber in heavy, slow movements.
Allen watched closely, sword ready at his side.
For a moment, there was nothing but silence.
No emotion.
No sound.
He swallowed once, steeling himself.
Maybe… maybe the pact stripped them of who they were. Maybe this would be just another empty, mindless beast bound to his will.
“Uhh… since the battle’s over… can I get those cookies now?”
The derpy head blinked its bright yellow eyes slowly, grinning.
Allen blinked back, stunned.
Vivian doubled over laughing, nearly dropping her whip. “Oh my gods, he’s still him.”
Jane clapped her hands together, delighted. “Yesss! He survived!”
The golden-eyed head groaned aloud, voice thick with ancient irritation.
“Unbelievable. We have been granted a second life and your first concern is cookies?!”
The red-eyed head grumbled, sounding just as exhausted.
“I told you he was dropped as a hatchling. Several times.”
The derpy head wiggled its massive neck, looking unbothered.
“I’m just saying! Priorities, people. Cookies are important! Life is short! Especially when you get your head stabbed!”
Allen scrubbed a hand down his face, a short, disbelieving laugh escaping him.
“Fantastic,” he muttered. “I conquered the Abyss… and adopted a talking golden retriever with wings.”
Larissa, who had been leaning casually against her spear, smirked. “At least he’s loyal.”
Zoe snorted softly. “Loyalty doesn’t usually come with… that much energy.”
“Hey, hey!” The derpy head huffed indignantly, his massive nostrils flaring. “I’m very useful! I know how to find cookies! And shiny things! And—uh—what were we talking about again?”
