Chapter 1558: Did I Fall Into a Parallel Universe?

Villain Ch 1558. Did I Fall Into a Parallel Universe?

Gerry walked through the gym doors looking like he’d just escaped an apocalypse scenario. Hair tousled, hoodie askew, half-asleep confusion still lingering in his eyes. His shoes squeaked across the polished gym floor like tiny alarms, calling attention from the empty gym.

He glanced over at the racks and blinked twice when he spotted Allen. Not standing around waiting impatiently, not messing around on his phone, but fully into his reps. Sweat running along his jawline, breathing steady, already deep in that gym trance he usually didn’t find until halfway through the session.

Gerry froze in disbelief. He checked his phone, glanced out the large floor-to-ceiling windows toward the empty parking lot, and then looked back at Allen again. “No way…” he muttered, eyes narrowing suspiciously as if Allen working out early meant the earth had tilted off-axis.

Allen noticed Gerry standing there like he’d witnessed the impossible, dropped the dumbbells onto the mat, and straightened, chest rising and falling evenly.

“You’re finally here?” Allen said, voice dripping with amusement. “Took you long enough, dude.”

Gerry shook his head slowly, his disbelief not fully fading. “What are you doing here already? And you’re sweating? You actually started without me? Did I fall into a parallel universe?”

Allen chuckled, grabbing a towel from the nearby bench. “Chill, it’s not the end of days. Yet.”

“That’s exactly my point,” Gerry said, dramatically walking toward the locker room and gesturing at the empty gym with exaggerated confusion. “It’s early. Way too early for you to even be awake, let alone sweating through a set. Who are you and what have you done with my lazy-ass friend?”

Allen laughed genuinely, a rich, full sound that echoed lightly off the smooth walls and steel equipment. “I came early because I was afraid someone would send me another creepy voice note.”

Gerry turned at the locker-room door and rolled his eyes so far back they almost disappeared into his skull. “C’mon, we both know that’s a lie. You’re never up this early, even if I send you a hundred haunted clown recordings.”

Allen’s mouth twitched into a mischievous grin. “Never say never. Especially after what happened last night.”

Gerry paused, curiosity instantly sparked. “Wait, what happened?”

Allen simply smirked, making a lazy shooing gesture. “Go change first. I’ll tell you when you’re back. No spoilers.”

“Tease,” Gerry shot back, disappearing into the locker room.

Allen wiped his forehead and glanced around. The gym was still quiet, machines gleaming softly under the morning light, the steady hum of the air conditioning blending with the muted bass of background music. It felt good—right, even. Like he’d reclaimed something he hadn’t realized he’d lost.

A few minutes later, Gerry emerged in full gym attire, looking marginally more awake. He immediately strode over and parked himself on the bench across from Allen, eyes bright and expectant.

“Alright, spill,” Gerry said, adjusting his wrist wraps. “What’s got you here at this ungodly hour, grinning like someone just told you Christmas came early?”

Allen glanced down at his hands, his smile spreading, genuine and unguarded. “Well, it’s actually pretty crazy. Last night, after dinner… Jordan called me to his room.”

Gerry lifted an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “Your dad? What’s up, did you guys argue?”

Allen shook his head, the grin still stubbornly glued to his face. “No. Actually, it was… different. He found out about the text from my stepdad. The one that accused me of making Mom cry again.”

Gerry’s expression darkened slightly, protective anger simmering just beneath the surface. “That asshole again? Seriously, that guy’s got nerve.”

“Yeah, well, Jordan wasn’t exactly thrilled either,” Allen continued softly. “But it wasn’t the usual reaction. It was… how do I put it… protective? Like, really protective. He looked me straight in the eyes, Gerry. Told me I wasn’t alone anymore.”

Allen paused, breathing deep, the warmth from the memory still fresh. Gerry watched him carefully, sensing how significant the moment had been.

“Damn,” Gerry said quietly, genuinely moved. “He really said that?”

Allen nodded slowly, the corners of his mouth lifting further. “Yeah, and then he gave me this.” He pulled out his phone, tapped a few times, then turned the screen toward Gerry. A photo of a sleek, polished ring appeared—black obsidian center with a silver-engraved crest.

Gerry leaned in, eyes widening. “Holy shit. That’s… is that the Goldborne crest?”

Allen smirked a little proudly. “One of the originals.”

“Wow,” Gerry whispered, clearly impressed. “That’s a big deal, man. So, you’re officially marked now?”

“Yeah,” Allen said quietly. “Jordan said this ring means I’m recognized. By the family, by everyone.”

Gerry whistled softly, sitting back and crossing his arms, admiration written plainly on his face. “About damn time. You earned this.”

Allen laughed lightly. “Honestly? It still feels surreal,” he tapped his phone screen. “Close enough to remind me it’s real.”

Gerry’s smile broadened knowingly. “Look at you. Finally accepting your place as a billionaire heir.”

“Yeah, funny, right?” Allen laughed. “But it wasn’t just Jordan. Emma also did something unexpected.”

Gerry tilted his head, instantly suspicious. “Emma? That little chaos gremlin? What’d she do?”

Allen’s eyes softened, and he looked away, suddenly embarrassed but undeniably touched. “She made me chocolate mousse.”

Gerry blinked in disbelief. “Emma baked? Like, real food? Not microwave or instant?”

Allen snorted, “Well, I wouldn’t say it was great quality, but she did it herself. Even left a note telling me to ‘cheer up.’ It was kinda messy, but…” Allen’s voice trailed, suddenly softer, “it felt… good. Like family.”

Gerry’s expression shifted into something warmer, quieter. “Damn, dude. No wonder you’re grinning like an idiot.”

Allen chuckled softly. “Honestly? It felt incredible. For the first time in my life, it felt like I really belonged somewhere. Like I finally have people who got my back.”

Gerry smiled knowingly, nodding with sincere approval. “About damn time you felt that way.”

Allen looked down, suddenly thoughtful. “I know, right?”

There was a beat of quiet between them, a comfortable silence that said more than words. Gerry broke it gently, nudging Allen’s shoulder playfully. “Alright, enough mushy stuff. Are we working out, or are we gonna braid each other’s hair next?”

Allen snorted, shaking off the sentimental fog with a grin. “Bold talk coming from you.”
