Taking a Nerdy Girl on Her First Date Part II
Alex raised the roof of his convertible and drove through the city of Seoul at high speeds with a single hand on the wheel. All the while, he was smoking with his free hand. This caused Min-Ji to become increasingly nervous, as she realized Alex was not the type of man to follow safety protocols.
An assumption she was probably better off making before agreeing to sit in his passenger seat. Before long the two of them arrived at a rather upscale steakhouse where Alex popped out of the car, and left Min-Ji in her seat with a rather anxious expression on her face, almost as if she had just suffered an intense form of trauma.
Seeing how the girl wasn’t following him inside the restaurant, Alex simply scoffed before approaching the passenger door and opening for her before offering Min-Ji his hand.
“I don’t do this every day, so don’t get used to it…”
Min-Ji could not even force a smile as she readjusted her glasses before grabbing hold of Alex’s hand and following him into the restaurant. When the hostess, who was a young and beautiful woman roughly college age, saw that an attractive and wealthy man like Alex was “dating” a nerdy and flat-chested girl like Min-Ji, her jaw completely dropped. Almost as if she wanted to comment on how odd the “couple” was.
Alex didn’t mind, despite the fact that Min-Ji blushed and averted her gaze. Instead, he wore a broad smile before raising two fingers and asking to be seated.
“A table for two, please!”
The woman looked at Alex with disbelief, before looking down at her schedule, where she was quick to inform Alex that every table was already reserved.
“I’m sorry, but we are currently at full capacity. Do you perhaps have a reservation?”
Alex smirked and shook his head, before pulling out his wallet, and a stack of one hundred-dollar bills that equated to 1,000 USD, where he then placed it on the counter.
“Consider this my reservation. Surely you have a seat that is open?”
The woman gazed with avarice towards the money, money that would go a great way towards paying her living expenses. But she then shook her head, realizing that she would be fired for accepting such a bribe, and was quick to inform Alex that she could not be bought.
“I’m sorry, but if you don’t have a reservation, then I’m afraid I you will have to leave and come back some other time….”
Min-Ji was extremely nervous. After all, she did not like confrontation, and the staff had already said they were full. Thus, she grabbed hold of Alex’s sleeve and meekly muttered beneath his breath in a voice so low that only he could hear it.
“Alex… We should go someplace else…”
Alex, however, was adamant about getting seated and instead grabbed hold of the stack of cash and pulled out some more. Totaling ten grand, which was what he always kept in his wallet, he then walked past the hostess, and began to flash the cash to the customers.
“Excuse me everyone, but my time is precious, and I have already driven all the way to this establishment to share a meal with my lovely date. So who would like to give up their table for ten thousand USD?”
With all attention on the two of them, Min-Ji felt so embarrassed that she wanted to die at that very moment. Especially when many of the rich snobs began to scoff at Alex and his pompous act. That is, until a man who was dining with his family stood up and accepted Alex’s offer.
“You can have my table. For ten grand, I don’t mind taking my family someplace else…”
The guests gasped in shock that somebody would actually accept Alex’s offer. However, Alex himself simply flashed the man a smile and threw the stack of cash into his hands before leading Min-Ji to the table.
“It’d been a pleasure doing business with you…”
The man quickly gathered his family and led them out of the restaurant, where Alex then looked smugly at the hostess, who stared at him in disbelief before speaking in an equally condescending tone.
“Ma’am, I don’t have all day. This table is mine for the hour, so how about you bring over two menus for us?”
The young woman looked over at her manager, who just shrugged, before bringing over two menus where Alex began to speak with Min-Ji, recognizing that she was uncomfortable. There was a proud smile on his face as he spoke of his pompous act.
“See Min-Ji, that’s why you need a real man, a man who will get shit done, rather than tolerate such fuckery.”
The crass manner which Alex spoke to Min-Ji caused many of the more elite customers to scoff in disdain, acting as if Alex was inferior to them, and going so far as to shame the nouveau riche like himself.
Min-Ji, however, got over her embarrassment and quickly pointed out what she wanted to eat. Since it was on Alex, she did not mind buying something expensive for a change. Especially since the man had tossed around ten grand as if it were fucking nothing to him.
Soon enough the waiter arrived, and took their orders, and while they waited, Alex began to ask Min-Ji questions about herself.
“So, what do you do for fun? I mean, every time I see you, you have your nose in your book. Surely you don’t just study all day?”
Min-Ji blushed when she heard this. Since she first started having classes with Alex, all he would do was boast about his looks, wealth, and status as an MMA fighter. But he was now the first guy to genuinely act about her interests, and thus she averted her gaze before meekly speaking her thoughts aloud.

“Well… I like to roleplay…. But I have nobody to do it with….”
Alex immediately misunderstood what Min-Ji meant by roleplaying and made a rather crass remark that caused her to look at him as if he were a pervert.
“Oh, you like roleplaying, do you? Well, how about after this, we go back to my place, and I’ll dress up as a soldier of the Waffen-SS, and you dress up as a Bolshevik sniper, and you pretend to be my prisoner? Sounds fun, right?”
The girl looked at Alex as if he were the worst of human scum, while he sat there with a wide smile on his face, thinking that he was clever. She then sighed heavily before lecturing the man on his perverted thoughts.
“No…. Not like that…. I meant like tabletop… What kind of dirty thoughts go through that mind of yours for you to instantly think of something so vile? I mean, do you really possess such uniforms?”
Alex realized he had made a mistake and simply smiled and laughed to himself over the misunderstanding while shaking his head, before clarifying that he did not, in fact, possess a Waffen-SS uniform.
“No… But if you were into that kind of thing, I could definitely get my hands on them.”
Min-Ji simply sighed, realizing that Alex was exactly who she thought he was. A total degenerate. However, in the next minute, he surprised her by speaking about her interests as if he genuinely wanted to know.
“Alright, my bad, it was a simple misunderstanding on my part. So you’re into tabletop RP, right? What exactly is that about?”
Min-Ji was slightly excited to hear someone finally take an interest in her hobbies, and was quick to go on a rant about tabletop RP, which Alex surprisingly managed to see through with genuine interest on his face. Even after the meal arrived, and they enjoyed their steaks, Alex continued to question Min-Ji about not only the rules of the game, the setting and the lore in general.
Slowly but surely, Min-Ji had begun to smile and speak to Alex as if he were actually an old friend. Going so far to even crack jokes with the man. Finally, after nearly an hour had passed, and they were both satisfied with the meal, Alex paid the check before making a comment that made Min-Ji’s heart race.
“Well, it sounds like fun. We should play it sometime…”
This caused Min-Ji to flush in embarrassment and avert her gaze again, as she asked if Alex was indeed serious.
“Really? You mean it?”
Alex knew in that moment that he had gained some decent points with the girl due to the rise in her affection rating.
[Min-Ji’s Affection: 45/100]
After seeing this, Alex simply smirked and confirmed that he would indeed like to play her little game, all the while he escorted her out of the steakhouse and into his car. Where they then drove back to the penthouse.
“Of course! Now that we’re living together, at least for the time being, I’m sure that I can find the time to play with you. Now how about we go home, before your mother begins to worry?”
Min-Ji did not know how to react to this dinner date. She had never been on a date with a boy before, nor had she really been friends with a boy before. It was deeply surprising that a guy like Alex, who in her eyes was nothing but a meathead, would take an interest in her nerdy hobbies. But if he lived up to his word, she would be glad that he did.
