Villain With The Strongest System - Chapter 298
Chapter 298: Dragon Egg
“Oh, you’re back, Rocky,” Riva called out, her voice light with an energy Rocky hadn’t seen in her for months. She leaned casually against the wall, her breath still slightly quickened from her playful chase with Baby Chun, as she smiled lightly looking at her little brother.
Rocky stepped further into the room, a warm smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, I’m back. Looks like you’ve been busy.”
Riva chuckled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Busy? You could say that.”
Hearing her response, Rocky couldn’t help but stare, taking in the sight of his sister—laughing, moving with a lightness he hadn’t seen since before…everything that happened with the Olympians.
His heart swelled with relief and joy, the worry that had been gnawing at him for so long finally starting to ease as he felt a knot in his heart unraveling.
“I’ve gotta say, you looked fast—really fast. You were chasing Baby Chun like a Tier 3 warrior just now. How’ve you been? Are you… getting some of your strength back?” Rocky inquired, feeling eager to know if Riva could tap in into her climbers strength again.
However, contrary to his expectations, at this question, Riva paused, her smile faltering as a brief flicker of confusion crossed her face.
She touched her temple, frowning as if trying to grasp something just beyond her reach. “I—” she began, her voice uncertain. “I don’t know, I don’t even know how I moved like that. My head… it feels strange, like there’s a fog, and I can’t remember….. it hurts, trying to channel mana again through my body hurts– ” she said as immediately her legs began to wobble as she lost her balance.
“Watchout–” Rocky said, as he rushed to support her, however, leaning against the wall Riva steadied herself.
Rocky’s heart clenched with concern, but he quickly softened his expression, stepping closer to comfort her. “Hey, don’t worry about it,” he said, his voice gentle. “You don’t have to answer right now. Just take it easy. I’m just happy to see you up and moving again.”
Riva nodded slowly, her hand dropping from her head as the confusion lingered in her eyes. But she smiled through it, her focus shifting.
“So,” she said, her voice a little brighter, “how was your adventure? Did you face a lot of troubles because of me?”
Rocky chuckled, waving off the question as if it were nothing. “Oh, you know, the usual. Just another floor raid. Nothing too difficult.”
He lied, of course. The truth was far grimmer, with narrow escapes and moments where his life had dangled by a thread. But he couldn’t bring himself to burden Riva with that—not now, not when she had finally started to come back to life.
Riva raised an eyebrow, but before she could press him further, something in Rocky’s hand shifted violently. The large parcel he had been carrying since he entered the apartment suddenly shook, startling them both, as Rocky’s eyes widened as he remembered what was inside.
“Oh… right,” he muttered, placing the parcel on the dining table, as he carefully unwrapped the bundle to reveal the Abyssal Dragon Egg, now vibrating with increasing intensity.
“What is that?” Riva asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.
“It’s… an Abyssal Dragon Egg,” Rocky replied, his voice filled with a mix of awe and urgency. “And it’s about to hatch.”
Baby Chun, who had been watching from the couch, suddenly perked up, his ears twitching with excitement. “A dragon?! I wanna see!”
Leaping off from the couch, he hopped onto the table beside the egg, his little paws barely making a sound as Mama Chun followed closely, her serene expression watching the scene unfold with quiet anticipation.
The room fell silent as all four of them gathered around the egg, waiting to witness the moment a dragon was born.
The egg itself was covered in smooth, dark scales that shimmered faintly under the light.
As the vibrations within the egg grew more violent, cracks spider-webbed across the surface as the dragon inside fought to break free.
Soon, the first splintering sound echoed through the room, as a sliver of light broke through the egg’s shell, followed by another crack, and then another.
The room seemed to hold its breath as they watched the egg slowly come apart, piece by piece, revealing the creature within.
The dragon’s tiny claws pierced the shell first, sharp and delicate, pushing through the cracks with determined strength. The egg wobbled precariously as the dragon inside gave one last push, breaking the shell apart entirely.

Came a sound, as covered in slime and amniotic fluids was a newborn dragon who looked around desperately trying to recognise its mother.
It was a creature unlike anything Rocky had ever seen before as its scales were a deep, iridescent black, but when the light hit them just right, they shimmered with hints of blue and silver.
As its eyes, large and luminous, looked around the room, they glowed faintly with an ethereal light, while tiny horns adorned its head.

As it stretched its wings—fragile, still damp from the egg—they sparkled like they were woven from the night sky itself, as overall the little beast was the cutest and most magnificent thing Rocky had ever seen.
After baby chun of-course, as in terms of pure cuteness chun was cuter and softer, however, in terms of magnificence and aura the little dragon was better.

The newborn dragon let out a soft, weak roar—a sound that was more of a squeak than anything, however, immediately both Riva and Mama Chun went “Aww….” Hearing that sound, as if they could discern the meaning behind it.
The room remained still, captivated by the sight as Riva, with her eyes wide with awe, knelt down beside the table, her hand hovering just above the dragon as if afraid to touch it.
“It’s… beautiful,” she whispered, as Rocky nodded, unable to tear his eyes away.
“Yeah,” he murmured, his voice filled with wonder. “It really is.”
