Chapter 392: They Can’t Tell Me
I looked at Amber with a raised eyebrow, silently asking what she meant.

“Take the deal, Tera… Please…” She whispered again, keeping her voice low enough so that the other side couldn’t hear her.

Why is she… Ah… Now I remember where I saw those numbers before…

I remember seeing it way back when we first came to Denibi and we uncovered some humans trying to sell that stuff to aliens or something.

Amber was really adamant that we should destroy it so by this map, I’m guessing this station is related to that stuff as well?

Before I could say anything, Mara had also turned to me, “Accept it, Captain. This would be worth the price of the equipment.”

Eh? Does this mean that Mara also knows what it is? Oh what am I talking about, of course she does.

Since both of them had requested this and I trust both of them with my life anyway, I went ahead to answer the person on the other side of the call.

“Is there any other information that complements this one? Blueprints or a map of the station at least?”

More mumbling came from the other side before another voice answered.

“The only thing we have is the surrounding space and some rumours and tidbits about what some people have said about that place. Would that suffice?”

“Good enough. Send those over and we have a deal.”

Shortly after that, I received another message and I opened it to see that it was the details that I had requested from them.

I checked once again with Mara and Amber to see both of the girls nodding at me.

Since everything was in order, I decided to just accept it.

“We have indeed received it. We’ll set up a drop for you guys to collect the equipment we managed to get. Does that conclude our deal here?”

“Yes. Thank you for the cooperation.”

The call was shut off and now I need to confront another problem.

“Alright, are you going to tell me what exactly is P-105-N1C?”

Amber and Mara looked at each other which only cemented the fact that both of them knew what it was.

I actually thought that they would tell me when they turned back to face me but Amber showed me a really guilty look that already told me she wasn’t going to.

Well, actually, she said that she couldn’t for some reason despite wanting to but what about Mara?

As though reading my thoughts, even though I already knew she couldn’t, Mara sighed, “It’s really complicated, Captain… Both of us would like to tell you about it… No… Amber would certainly tell you about it but she can’t. As for me… I do not trust myself to be able to tell it to anyone else. It is not my place, you could say… But I believe if we were to go there, your questions might be answered anyway…”

I pouted, “Keeping secrets from me now, are you? Is that how it is between us?”

Unexpectedly, both girls seemed to take that quite seriously as they pushed themselves up against me and looked me seriously in the eyes.

“I would never, Tera!”

“Please believe that is not my intention, Captain!”

Err… I was just teasing them but I really didn’t expect them to treat that so seriously.

As if they were afraid they didn’t say enough to put the point across, they pushed forward even more and crowded around me.

Amber picked up my hand to hold in hers while giving me an especially serious look, “Tera! If there wasn’t this stupid restriction on me, I would definitely tell you everything! I love you with all my heart and I will never do anything to intentionally hurt you!!”

Mara did the same with my other hand, “I as well Captain! For you to take me in despite knowing my circumstances, I have nothing but admiration and love for you!”

Ah geez… How the hell can the both of you say such embarrassing things with such a straight face? Even I’m feeling embarrassed now…

“Umm… I got it already, I was just teasing you girls.”

Both of them actually let out deep sighs of relief when they heard me say that. Just how worried were you two?

Alright fine…

I pulled Amber in and gave her a kiss on her lips.

It seems like she wasn’t expecting it so she just looked stunned at me as I pulled away from her.

I then turned and kissed Mara as well, who was just as surprised as Amber despite already seeing me do it to Amber first.

“There, better now?”

All of a sudden, I felt the aura around them change and their eyes shifted from surprise to… Should I say… Predatory?

“Ara? You can’t just do that and not expect something else to happen, Captain~”

“That’s right, Tera~ Ehehehe~ You know what’s going to happen now, don’t you?”

I leaned back in my chair even as the two girls got closer to me, “Wait… Err… Can we talk about that station first?”

Amber reached out and placed her hand on my chair’s headrest so that she can continue getting closer to me at a slow pace.

“Mmm~ We can talk about that afterwards, can’t we?”

Mara joined her, putting her hand on the opposite side of where Amber placed her hand, “That’s right Captain… We still have to arrange the drop for the equipment before we can head there. There’s plenty of time afterwards to talk about it~”

I felt something brush against my inner thighs and I peeked down to see that both of them had raised their legs to rest their knees on the edge of my seat, their thighs pushing up against the area in between my legs.

Right as they seem like they were about to lean in and kiss me, the door to the bridge suddenly slid open and we all paused.

“Mara?” Lea’s voice came as our Alv entered the bridge.

She barely even batted an eye at the position I was in, especially since this wouldn’t even be the first time the girls would catch me stuck in an intimate position with one of the girls.

Heck, if it wasn’t because of the fact that there were other Mercs around, Lea would be walking around the ship naked or in her underwear right now.

So yeah… There were a few times where Amber, Mara or Ries would walk into the kitchen or into the bridge to see me railing the Alv over the counter or against the wall.

This applies to the other girls as well so it’s not like it’s exclusive to Lea either…

I’m pretty sure these girls have a much higher libido than I do…

Mara shifted herself slightly to look at the Alv, “What? Someone better be dying.”

“Yes. One of the Mercs in the cargo bay seems to be going into shock. You might want to take a look at him.”

“Wait, seriously? Damn it, I’ll be right there.”

The doctor pulled away from me and straightened out her clothes. Heck, I didn’t even notice that she had already started unzipping her shirt and I got to peek at her cleavage before she hid them from view.

Mara then followed Lea off the bridge, leaving Amber and I alone.

“Hmm… Well the mood’s gone now,” I muttered, wondering if Amber would agree with me.

“I can always make it again if you want~” Amber purred, her hand resting on top of my chest.

I did a reversal on her as I reached up and pushed her hand that had been pressing against my headrest away.

Since that was the hand that was supporting her weight, she ended up falling forward when I did that so I caught her and spun her around to sit on my lap.

She still looked surprised by the sudden movement which gave me an opportunity to give her another kiss on her lips to ‘wake’ her up.

I licked my lips, “Mmm… We can continue later, maybe in the bath. In case you haven’t noticed, I kind of smell like blood. I only did a quick wash of my hands after Ries and I worked on getting the corpses out from the power armour, you know?”

“Ohhh~ Does that mean I can join you in the bath too?” She asked, recovering almost immediately when she heard that.

“Since when has anything stopped you from doing that?”

“Ehehe~ Good point~”

“On to more serious topics though… Are you able to tell me why you cannot tell me about whatever that thing is?”

Amber paused for a moment, “Hmm… It’s difficult to explain it… But I guess the best way I can describe it is that if I try to talk about it… I just forget about it?”

I stared at her, “Wait… What?”

She nodded seriously, “This is a method some groups might use to protect secrets, where their employees are made to go through a process that mentally blocks them from talking about something they don’t want them to talk about. It’s actually illegal though so yeah…”

Oh wow… I didn’t think things would get that dark but I guess that explains things…
