Chapter 459: You Guys Wanna Buy Some Crystals?
I had Lea and Amber wait for their security team to board us while I stayed on the bridge.
The researchers were also there so they should be dealing with the security team and all I need to do is wait for Amber or Lea to give me the green light to continue with our docking procedures with the station.
In front of us, several B Class ships were hovering around us, their guns trained on our ship in case we tried to attack them.
I leaned back on my seat, shifting my attention on the screen that showed me the area around the docking hatch as several armed and armoured people stepped through the doors to enter our ship.
All of them were pretty much wearing armour of a similar design as those ‘pirates’ that we met on the ship, making me think that this might just be some kind of universal armour that is used in the Inner Colonies.
The only difference with this group was the colour of their armour and there were distinct emblems emblazoned on various parts of their armour.
One of them went up to Amber and they seemed to be saying something before Amber gestured at the researchers, prompting the guy to walk towards them.
The researchers then seemed to be discussing something and Amber raised up her personal terminal behind them.
A call notification came from my Codex and I answered it immediately, already expecting it to be a call from Amber.
“Captain, all clear for approach to the station. They request that we follow their ships to the docking bay and their ship will remain docked with us until we start our docking procedures with the station.”
She must be speaking formally because of the fact that there were outsiders there.
“Copy that, we’ll follow their guide.”
I then closed the call and started up the engines right as the escort ships started to turn away to fly in the direction of the station.
We maintained the same speed as our escorts that had us surrounded, ensuring we could not go anywhere they did not want us to go.
Slowly, we approached one of the arms of the station where we could dock and the ship currently docked with us initiated their separation from us.
From the cameras in the cargo bay however, the security personnel were still there and surrounded the researchers who don’t look too happy about being corralled like that but I guess they don’t have the authority to refuse protection from them.
I lined up the ship to the station’s docking hatch and our ship slowly moved to dock with the station under the watchful eyes of the patrol ships around the station.
Not gonna lie… The fact that there were so many people watching made me feel like I was going to mess up somehow despite the fact that the docking process was mostly handled by the ship systems instead of me.
As expected, our ship docked without any problems and I made sure everything was secure before powering the ship down to head to the cargo bay with the rest of my girls.
When I got to the cargo bay, I found that they had separated themselves into two groups with Amber and Lea standing on one side and the researchers being surrounded by the security standing closer to the door leading to the station.
Sensing something wrong, I approached Amber and asked, “Did something happen?”
Amber crossed her arms, “Tch… They said that we were not allowed to step foot on the station and we should just leave the moment the researchers disembarked.”
I frowned, “They’re not letting us board the station at all?”
“Nope. They said that the station is only restricted to authorised personnel and they’re already doing us a big favour by even letting us dock on it.”
“The heck… They make us fly all the way here and then kick us out immediately the moment we’re here? Couldn’t they have just picked up the researchers from us and flew them here on their own instead?”
Mara crossed her arms, “I believe they wanted us to get closer to the station in case they figured out we were their enemies and it would be harder for us to escape when more of their security is nearby to pursue or deal with us.”
I clucked my tongue, “Tsk… Do they even know we want to sell those Psionic Crystals?”
Amber shook her head, “We haven’t told them yet since we doubt these security personnel even know the significance of those things.”
“We haven’t even told Lanos and the others have we?”
“Ah… Not yet… I actually forgot about that…” Amber admitted.

Right… I guess after what was happening on the ship with them, it’s no surprise that we were more focused on other stuff than the sale of those crystals.
My attention shifted when our docking hatch cycled open, allowing another group of security personnel to enter the ship, these people more heavily armed than the ones that were already on our ship.
They even had two guys in power armour stomp in to stand guard at the door, hefting the miniguns they were carrying threateningly in our direction.
There was a single guy where his armour was decorated with gold trims that stood out from the other guards and I assume he must be the head of security or at least someone important.
He went up to the researchers and they exchanged some words in hushed whispers before the same guy came over to us, giving us a simple nod in greeting.
“Good day, I give you my thanks for escorting them here. I believe you were already paid for this so you may leave now.”
I raised my hand to stop him, “Hold on, we have things that we would like to sell here as well so would it be possible for us to do that?”
Despite his face being hidden by the helmet, I could sense that he was raising an eyebrow at me.
“Do we look like we’re some kind of trade station or something?” He asked after a while.
“No, but the thing we would like to sell is definitely of interest to the people of this station.”
“I highly doubt th–”
“Wait!! Are you selling what I think you’re selling?! If you are, we’re buying!!” Lanos cried out, interrupting the guy in front of me.
No, I know what you’re thinking Lanos… But I’m not selling food… But whatever, this works in my favour since I could use her to show the Psionic Crystals.
The guy in front of me let out an audible sigh before turning back to the researchers, “I would like to remind you that if you are interested in buying anything, you would need to use your own personal funds for it. The station will not be sponsoring any personal purchases.”
Before Lanos could suggest that I was selling food, I quickly blurted out, “We are selling Psionic Shards and Psionic Crystals.”
The guy in front of me turned back, “What are Psio–”
He got shoved away before he could even finish his words, giving way to the five researchers who crowded in front of me, their eyes bloodshot.
“You have Psionic Crystals?!”
“Actual Psionic Crystals?!!”
“You’re not kidding right?!!”
I raised my hands in a placating manner, “Yes, yes… I do have them… Here, take a look.”
Ries took that as her cue and directed one of the drones to carry over a box to place beside me.
All of them watched as the top was taken off to reveal several intact Psionic Crystals sitting inside it.
The five researchers stared at the box, all of their mouths open and eyes wide in shock.
Guess we were right that these people would be interested in this.
“This… Was on the ship the entire time?” Daisy gasped.
“This… This is serious…” The former leader guy took a step back and pointed at one of the guards. “Hey you there!! Call the head researcher! Or whoever is in charge of the research in this station! Tell them that there’s Psionic Crystals for sale!!”
The guard pointed at himself but didn’t move.
The male researcher nodded, “Yes! You! Quickly!! Whoever is in charge would definitely want to know about this!! This is a huge component of our research!! If they knew you guys let this chance slip up, you’re all gonna be ejected out of the airlock!!”
The guard turned to look at the guy with the gold trims on his armour.
He sighed again, “I’ll call them…”
The guy walked away and tapped on his arm, bringing up a screen which I assume he was using to contact the person in charge.
Meanwhile, the five researchers were still crowding around the box and marvelling at the crystals.
“This is the first time I’ve seen an intact Psionic Crystal…”
“This is amazing… But err… Captain… Are you not selling any food?” Lanos asked.
I knew it…
“I already gave you some, didn’t I? And no, I’m not selling any–”
My words were interrupted by the sound of a crowd of footsteps thumping from the docking hatch.
A moment later, a small army of people wearing white lab coats rushed in.
“Where is it?!! Where are the Psionic Crystals?!”
“There!! Quickly!! I must see it!!”
“Go, go, go!!!”
“I’m gonna get it first! Out of my way!!”
“Me first!!”
“No, me!!”
“Mine, mine, mine!!”
…
…
Err… Should I be concerned about how they were running towards me?
